Research focus

The Cape Heart Institute (CHI) concentrates on research activities and expertise relating to cardiovascular diseases, their risk factors and other important diseases prevalent in sub-Saharan Africa. The CHI consolidates laboratory-based research and clinical research and sees itself as an institution fostering translation across the basic, clinical and global health sciences.
